Puzzles take fourteen of the top twenty spots, while last report’s risers reveal different paths after the climb.
Puzzles now occupy fourteen of the twenty spots, increasing their share of the list. Four of the five newcomers in the last report are still here, so finding a fresh theme matters alongside watching how long a game holds its gains. Revenue rankings can move sharply even when popularity rankings barely change; reading both lists helps keep useful comparisons in view. Pick picture tiles from overlapping layers, place them in the seven slots below, and clear three matching pictures. Covered tiles become available only after the tiles above them are removed. A full holding area stops further moves, so matching pictures also means managing space for the next choice. (WeChat edition overview · Public screen · accessed )
Comment It ranked first on all 30 days. That steady position makes it a useful reference when comparing other puzzles. Look beyond the act of choosing matching tiles: watch how the filling tray makes the next choice harder. (Ranking history · accessed)

This 3D puzzle asks players to clear matching food items and household objects piled in a bowl. Shaking the phone up and down performs a “pan shake,” rearranging the pile to reveal other objects. Emptying the bowl earns a goose. Themes built around regional food and everyday scenes, along with collecting geese, provide further goals. (Developer’s description · accessed )
Comment It is fifth now, as it was in the last report, but fell to 11th and returned in between. Comparing only the two endpoints misses that movement. Rather than exchanging tiles with opponents in a mahjong match, the game focuses on finding matching tiles on the board. (Public introduction and promotional images · )
Comment It is below the second place it held in the last report, but stayed in the top ten throughout the past seven days. That differs from a game that surges and immediately falls off the list. The source places all three newcomers in puzzle categories, but their paths differ. 疯狂收杂物(Fengkuang Shou Zawu) stayed in the top ten on all six observed days, while 毛线通关(Maoxian Tongguan) rose to fourth before falling to tenth. 吃播大挑战(Chibo Da Tiaozhan) has records for only three days. Did the last report’s risers hold their ground?
不停找找找(Bu Ting Zhao Zhao Zhao) climbed 12→8→4→3→2, then held second place for three days. 益智闯一关(Yizhi Chuang Yi Guan) fell from fourth to 13th before returning to sixth, while 对子乐消消(Duizi Le Xiaoxiao) dropped from second to eighth but stayed in the top ten throughout the seven days. Four of the five newcomers in the last report remain in the Top 20. (不停找找找(Bu Ting Zhao Zhao Zhao) · 益智闯一关(Yizhi Chuang Yi Guan) · 对子乐消消(Duizi Le Xiaoxiao) · accessed)
毛线通关(Maoxian Tongguan) is now tenth, above its 37th place in the last report, but has fallen since reaching fourth on November 2. 偷上蛋快跑(Tou Shang Dan Kuai Pao) also climbed back to sixth on November 2 before falling to 26th, outside the list. Comparing only the start and finish hides the rebound in between and the recent decline. (毛线通关(Maoxian Tongguan) · 偷上蛋快跑(Tou Shang Dan Kuai Pao) · accessed)
When choosing games to study, pair those that held their gains with those that fell back, rather than collecting only the fastest risers. Play the same stretches and compare how the first goal is introduced, what feels achieved after a round, and what gives the player a reason to return. With internal operating data, first-round completion and next-day return can be checked separately. Rankings alone do not show that a particular ad or update worked.
The farm’s revenue rank moved differently
QQ经典农场(QQ Jingdian Nongchang) stayed close in popularity at 6→7, while its revenue rank rose 51→21. Its revenue rank moved from 48th on November 2 to 14th on November 3, followed by 16th and 21st. A steady popularity rank can sit beside a large shift in revenue rank. (Ranking history · accessed)
向末日开炮(Xiang Mori Kaipao) ranked fourth to sixth by revenue over the past seven days. 疯狂水世界(Fengkuang Shui Shijie) left the popularity Top 20 but held third to fourth in revenue rank over the same period. Dropping a game from the comparison just because it slipped a place or two outside the popularity list would lose this information. (向末日开炮(Xiang Mori Kaipao) · 疯狂水世界(Fengkuang Shui Shijie) · accessed)
Teams making farming or survival strategy games can compare rewards from short visits with goals that take several days to complete. Matching purchase timing against events, progression, and reward setups in their own data can narrow what to investigate next. Public rankings help choose the dates and comparison games where that investigation begins.
Scenes to compare in a design meeting
Before choosing a theme simply because puzzles took more spots, compare the moments that make a player stop or play another round. Games in the same genre can create those moments in different ways.
| Games to compare | Scenes to watch | Questions for design |
|---|---|---|
| Tile, arrow, and screw puzzles | The first choice, shrinking spare space or open routes, and the final few actions | Can players read the result of a choice in advance? Can a new layout alone make them think differently? |
| Puzzles leading into cleanup or building | Immediately after a round, when a cleared room or finished building is revealed | Does a short session leave a visible sense of achievement? Does the next goal spark curiosity without an explanation? |
| Farming and survival strategy | After collecting rewards on a return visit, while choosing the next growth goal | Are today’s tasks and longer-term goals both visible? When do purchases appear, and what goals come before and after them? |
At odd duck, we want to prepare our next ideas by watching the games that remain after a climb, as well as the climb itself. We are looking for games whose controls stay with the player after a round, with a goal worth picking up on the next visit.
