Paper Perch · odd duck Corp. · Effective September 14, 2026 · Last updated September 14, 2026
Paper Perch (Korean title: 페이퍼 퍼치, the “Service”) is a block-stacking game operated by odd duck Corp. (“odd duck”, “we”, or “us”) that is played without signing up or logging in. We process the information described below to show ads, run the score leaderboard, and confirm purchases.
The Service has no login, so we do not collect account information such as your name, email, or phone number. The main information processed is device and app-usage data, such as your advertising identifier and IP address, for ads; your player ID, game score, and connection information for the leaderboard; and store purchase information to confirm purchases.
1.Information We Process and Why
- Advertising data — The Service shows ads from Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, and the iOS IDFA if you allow tracking), device information (such as device model and operating system version), your IP address (which may be used to estimate your general location), app and ad interactions (such as app launches, taps, ad views, clicks, and video views), and diagnostic information (such as app launch time, hang rate, energy usage, and crash logs). (Purposes: serving ads, personalized ads, ad measurement and analytics, preventing fraud)
- Leaderboard data — When you use the leaderboard, your player ID and game score are sent to and stored on the ranking server. The player ID is a random identifier created automatically by the app. Connection information such as your IP address may also be sent when the app communicates with the server. (Purposes: compiling and displaying rankings, preventing cheating)
- Purchase data — Paid purchases and in-app items are processed by the Google Play and App Store payment systems; we do not receive payment details such as card numbers. We use purchase information provided by the store (such as product ID and order number) to confirm and restore purchases. (Purposes: confirming purchases, delivering items, restoring purchases)
- Inquiry data — If you email us a question or request, we receive your email address and the content of your message. (Purposes: responding to inquiries, handling requests)
- On-device data — Your best score, coins, upgrades, stamps, language and sound settings, the player ID used for the leaderboard, and similar data are stored on your device.
2.Personalized Ads and Tracking
- iOS — The app asks whether you allow tracking, in line with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) policy (the request may not appear, depending on your device settings). If you allow it, your IDFA may be used for personalized ads and ad measurement.
- Android — Your advertising ID may be used for personalized ads and ad measurement.
- In some regions, a consent process for personalized ads may apply under local law; where it does, you can change your choice in the way the app describes.
3.Third Parties and International Transfers
We use the providers below, and the related information may be processed and stored outside Korea, including in the United States and other countries where each provider operates servers.
- Google LLC (Google AdMob) — ad serving, personalized ads, ad measurement and analytics (USA and other countries) · Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare, Inc. — running the score leaderboard server and storing leaderboard data (USA and other countries) · Cloudflare Privacy Policy
International transfer ① Advertising data
- Recipient — Google LLC
- Country — The United States and other countries where the provider operates servers
- When and how — Sent over the network when the app requests and shows ads
- Data transferred — Device identifiers (such as advertising ID, app set ID, and IDFA), device information, IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information
- Purpose — Serving ads, personalized ads, ad measurement and analytics, preventing fraud
- Retention — As set out in Google’s Privacy Policy
International transfer ② Leaderboard data
- Recipient — Cloudflare, Inc.
- Country — The United States and other countries where the provider operates servers
- When and how — Sent over the network when you submit a score or view rankings
- Data transferred — Player ID, game score, connection information (IP address)
- Purpose — Running the score leaderboard, preventing cheating
- Retention — Player ID and game score: for as long as the leaderboard service is operated; connection information (IP address): for as long as needed to run the leaderboard and prevent cheating
Information that third parties such as Google, Cloudflare, Google Play, and the App Store collect and process for their own purposes is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not involved in that processing.
4.Leaderboard Rules
- Scores on the leaderboard, together with a label that distinguishes each player, may be visible to other users.
- Records we believe were submitted by abnormal means may be removed without prior notice, and that player ID may be restricted from submitting to the leaderboard.
- We may reset the leaderboard, or change or discontinue the leaderboard feature, as needed to operate the Service.
5.Device Permissions
The Service does not ask for permissions that access your personal information, such as your camera, contacts, photos, or location. It uses the permissions needed for an internet connection for ads and the leaderboard, access to the advertising identifier, and store payments. On iOS, a prompt asking whether to allow tracking may appear.
6.Retention and Deletion
- Leaderboard data — Kept for as long as the leaderboard service is operated, and deleted once it is no longer needed, for example when the leaderboard service ends or the leaderboard is reset. Information needed to prevent cheating may be kept for as long as that purpose requires.
- Connection information (IP address) — May be processed for as long as needed to run the leaderboard and prevent cheating.
- Advertising data — Processed and kept under Google’s policies.
- Inquiry data — Kept for as long as needed to handle the inquiry or request.
- On-device data — Because it is stored only on your device and we do not back it up, we cannot recover data lost when you uninstall the app, clear its data, or change devices, and it is not restored from leaderboard records. Purchases that support restoration may be restored under each store’s policies.
7.Your Choices and Requests
- Personalized ad settings — Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads (on some devices, Settings > Google > Ads) · iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Leaderboard record deletion — You can email cs@oddduck.ooo with information that identifies the record, such as the player ID shown in the app. Because we do not hold login information, we may be unable to act on a request if we cannot confirm that the record belongs to the requester.
- Deleting on-device data — Uninstall the app, or clear the app’s data in your device settings.
8.Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 14 (or the minimum age set by law in your country, if different), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.
9.Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy to reflect changes in law or in the Service. A revised Policy applies from the time it is posted on this page.
